 UAE Ambassador Visit at Mount Kigali University

Thursday,13th June 2024, the United Arab Emirates’ ambassador in Rwanda, H.E Hazza AlQahtani visit Mount Kigali University.


The ambassador’s visit aimed for an interactive discussion with the students in regards of the UAE youth empowerment initiatives.

While addressing the students, H.E Hazza said that the government of Rwanda is implementing the UAE youth empowerment initiatives but it is up to the youth to take advantage of those initiatives and use the UAE center to their best interests. 

“The Rwandan government has already started to implement the initiatives, it is up to the youth to take advantage of those initiatives.The future belongs to those who can imagine it, it is not something you wait for but something you create” ambassador Hazza AlQahtani said.

Students were given time to ask questions which were answered by the ambassador and they walked out of the discussion fulfilled because on top of answering their questions the ambassador also encouraged both male and female students to apply for jobs in the UAE highlighting that there are many companies looking for competent workers in all fields and that he would be very pleased to see his fellow people from Rwanda in the UAE.

Riding into campus life

Bicycles at RICA Campus! It's been two weeks since the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture (RICA) introduced bicycles to the campus, and the impact has been remarkable. These bicycles, available for all students, have quickly become a vital part of daily life, transforming the way students navigate their academic and field activities. The initiative, aimed at promoting sustainable transportation and enhancing student convenience, received an overwhelmingly positive response. Students are seen cycling across the campus, their journeys to classes and fields made swifter and more enjoyable. RICA student cycling around campus "Having a bicycle has made my mornings so much easier," says Alice, a second-year student. "I no longer have to rush or worry about being late for my early classes. Plus, it's a great way to start the day with some exercise."

ALU’ s biggest graduating cohort yet!

The African Leadership University (ALU) Rwanda has once again rolled out the red carpet for its graduation ceremony.
